Education in a Great Environment
Bible-based, age-appropriate education for preschoolers in a safe, loving Christian environment is the mission of the Brook Hills Early Learning Center. We know all preschoolers need to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially. We facilitate this growth through a strong developmental and pre-academic program for each child.

Music Time
Music Time at the ELC exists to provide a fun and creative environment where children can learn and explore music while focusing on the following goals:

  • To help children develop their God given talents through music.
  • To learn that music can be an expression of Praise and Worship to God.
  • To use music to teach Spiritual Truths.

Of God and Fun
We believe that children must become aware of God and His importance in thier lives. Knowing this will help them as they begin to grow and learn. In this Christ-centered atmosphere, it's our hope that learning experiences are both fun and beneficial for each child. We work hand-in-hand with parents, developing cooperative replationships that serve our children and families.

Safe, Secure
Specific security measures, like our "Child Protection First!" policy, ensure each child can learn and be cared for in a safe environment.

Curriculum and Activities
We use the "Wee Learn" curriculum, which is developed around themes of understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, the church, self, others and the natural world. Hands-on learning activities include books, art, music, blocks, home loving, nature, puzzles, manipulatives and more. Children are given opportunities to develop thinking and reasoning skills, creativity and learning to get along with others.

Each class has planned activities (age-appropriate). A Bible story time is included each day, as well as indoor and outdoor activities. Chapel is conducted once a month for three and four year olds.

Three Year Olds
In three year old classes, children make a gradual transition to a more structured environment. The focus for this group is opportunities for prayer, making choices, social skill development, and pre-academic skills.

Four Year Olds
In the four year old classes, letters and sounds are introduced and math concepts are explored. Children spend much of their time in self-directed play and developing social skills. Although the curriculum is more academic in nature, the focus is to create a love for learning by exploring concepts without insisting on mastery.
